PHRYGIA. Hadrianopolis. Trebonianus Gallus, 251-253. (Bronze, 36 mm, 21.88 g, 7 h), struck under the magistrate Klearchos, son of Theodoros. ΑΥ Κ Γ ΟΥΕΙΒ ΤΡΕΒ ΓΑΛΛΟ CΕΒ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus to right. Rev. ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟΠΟ CΤΡΑ Β ΚΛΕΑΡΧΟΥ ΘΕ / CΕΒ Tyche standing to left, holding rudder in right hand and cornucopia in left. RPC IX, 908. Extemely rare, with only two examples known to RPC Online, and only one other example sold in recent years. Earthen deposits; some scrapes, otherwise, very fine.
