EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Drachm (Bronze, 35.2 mm, 23.87 g, 11 h), year 15 = 130-131. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙA CEΒ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. L IE Emperor, togate, standing in slow quadriga right, holding branch in right hand and eagle-tipped scepter in left; before him, Alexandria, wearing elephant's skin headdress, standing left, raising right arm in greeting and holding vexillum in left. Dattari (Savio) 1595. Geissen 1037. K&G 32.510. RPC III 5782. Cleaned brown surfaces. Very fine.
