MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 390-341/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25.5 mm, 15.06 g, 12 h). ΣΩΤΕ[ΙΡΑ] Head of Artemis Soteira to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, sphendone with veil, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. KYZIKHN-ΩN Head of a roaring lion to left; in the field to right, owl standing facing; below, tunny swimming to left. Sandstrom Group 2, Series 1, Issue 9, 29a (O22/R27) = SNG von Aulock 7346 (this coin). Boldly struck, attractively toned, and of splendid late Classical style. Minor flat striking, some porosity and die rust on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
