EASTERN EUROPE, Eravisci. Late 1st century BC, or later. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.30 g), imitating a Republican denarius of Cn. Letulus of 76-75 BC. Head of Jupiter to right. Rev. RAVISCI (S retrograde) Globe between radiate and filleted scepter and rudder. Cf. CCCBM I 272 (same obverse die; reverse with RAVIS only). Davis Class B, Group II. Freeman 1/A, pl. 29, 1 (same dies). Cf. Lanz 1013. Iridescent toning along the peripheries. Struck from a worn obverse die (which was later bizarrely re-engraved), otherwise, good very fine.

From an American collection, and formerly of the RBW collection.
