KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.19 g, 10 h), struck during the reigns of Kassander and Demetrius Poliorketes, Amphipolis, c. 315-294. Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; to left, Λ over torch; below throne, star over M. Price 480. A rare variety, well struck and centered on a broad flan. Minor die fault on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

Due to a few stylistic anomalies - such as the huge eye on the obverse - this could very possibly be a contemporary imitation; of course, this could just be an official issue struck from dies made by a rather 'simple' die engraver!.
