GAUL, Suessiones. Early 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 15-18mm, 6.12 g 1), ’à l’oeil’ type. Devolved head of Apollo with one eye to right; two stars in field. Rev. Horse galloping left, charioteer transformed into fibula-like figure; above, two pellets; below, wheel, crescent and ladder-like design. DT 167. LT 8020. S. 174. An attractive example finely toned. Slightly off center as usual, otherwise, good very fine.
