CYPRUS, Kition. Melekiathon. Circa 392/1-362 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 12mm, 1.92 g 6). m (in Aramaic) Herakles striding right, brandishing his club with his right hand and with his lionskin over his outstretched left arm. Rev. Bust of Aphrodite to left wearing mural-like stephane, triple pendant earring, necklace and robes. BMC 72-73. Freedman (Triton V) 527. SNG Copenhagen 20. Rare. A clear and attractive example with a very dark green patina. Extremely fine.
