THESSALY, Atrax. Circa 360s-340s BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 10mm, 1.35 g 7). Bearded head of Atrax to right, his hair in straight locks almost like those of a satyr. Rev. ΓΙΩΝ /ΑΤΡΑ Bull, with head lowered, butting to right. Rogers 161. An excellent piece with a dark patina and a fine head of Atrax. About extremely fine.

Yet another conception of Atrax: here, save for the lack of a pointed animal ear, we could be looking at a satyr, or even a Persian ruler!
