CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. Circa 1st century BC. Stater or ’Regenbogenschüsselchen’ (Gold, 20 mm, 7.76 g, 7 h), 'Rolltier' type. Convex surface with ’Rolltier’ to left. Rev. Torques encircling five large pellets. Flesche 283. Kellner type I A. One of the finest known examples. Attractive rose-gold toning. Somewhat weakly struck, otherwise, extremely fine.
