CELTIC, Middle Danube. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.73 g, 2 h), 'Kapostaler Kleingeld' or 'Krčedin' type. Stylized laureate and bearded head of Zeus to right. Rev. Stylized horseman riding to left. Cf. Naumann 61, 2018, 7 (obol), Münz Zentrum Rheinland 174, 2015, 33 (drachm) and Rauch 94, 2014, 126 (drachm). An extremely interesting, possibly unpublished, obol or fraction from the area of Hungary. Attractively toned, very well-centered and very well-preserved. Extremely fine.
