SICILY. Panormos (as Ziz). Circa 400-390 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.26 g, 12 h). ṢYṢ (in Punic) Quadriga galopping to left; above, Nike flying right to crown the driver; in exergue, to right, clam shell. Rev. Female head to right, her hair bound with a broad band, and wearing a simple necklace with a single pendant; around, four dolphins swimming to right. Jenkins, Punic 18 (this coin cited). SNG Lloyd 1580 (same obverse die). Very rare. Beautifully toned and very attractive. Extremely fine.
