KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 14.17 g, 12 h), struck under Philip III, Pella, c. 323/2-315. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠ - ΠΟΥ Nude jockey riding horse walking to right, holding long palm branch in his right hand; below horse, coiled serpent; to right, Boeotian shield. Le Rider 529 (same dies). SNG Alpha Bank 276 (same dies). SNG ANS 449-450. Lightly toned, sharply struck and well-centered; an elegant coin. Good extremely fine.
