SICILY, Leontini. Circa 440-430 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 17.36 g 11). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. VΕΟ-ΝΤ-ΙΝΟΝ Lion’s head with open jaws to left; above, below and to left, barley grain; to right, olive leaf and berry. Boehringer 53. SNG ANS 240. Nicely toned. Slightly ragged flan, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
