KINGS of MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23mm, 14.32 g 11), Amphipolis, 348/7-343/2. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠ - ΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm branch and reins, riding horse to right; below horse, bunch of grapes. Le Rider 253 var. (unrecorded obverse die). An attractively toned and bold example with a fine head of Zeus. Extremely fine.
